About The Position

ExxonMobil is seeking students for their 2026 intern and co-op season for various engineering disciplines across the U.S. They are looking for passionate students eager to learn about the energy industry, with strong academic performance, leadership, and communication skills. The company aims to lead in energy innovations for modern living and a net-zero future, powered by a diverse workforce. Internships are typically 3 months during the summer, and co-op opportunities are 4-5 months in spring or fall. Successful interns may have the chance to return for future assignments or full-time employment.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's, master's or doctorate degree in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Management, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Petroleum Technology, or Reliability Engineering.
  • Strong academic performance.

Responsibilities

  • Gain hands-on experience and skills working on projects that create impact.
  • Participate in Mechanical Integrity, Process Engineering, Process Control, Process Development, Product Development, Project Development, Project Management, Quality Control, Modeling and Optimization, Test Method Development, Wells Engineering, Wells Operations, Safety, Environmental, Reservoir, and Supply Chain projects.
  • Tour facilities.
  • Learn from senior leaders.
  • Engage with experienced professionals and other students.
  • Participate in social events to network with peers, recent graduates, professionals, and senior leaders.
