We are seeking Mechanical Students for our Canadian Industrial Division to work in Nisku, AB. We are looking for students that are available for 8 months starting in September 2026. The positions will be under the direct supervisor of a Project Manager.
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree or diploma in engineering with a mechanical or civil major.
- Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment
- Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated.
Nice To Haves
- prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and cost control
- Reviewing drawings
- Coordinating work specific scope / trades
- Verifying material quantities, hours, and rates
- Participating in project meetings
- Submit requests for information
- Inputting / Updating deficiency logs
- Producing as-built drawings
- Performing quantity takeoffs
- Conduct safety inspections
- Communicating changes with craft personnel
- Setting up / Maintaining record keeping
- Adhoc duties as required
