About The Position

McKim & Creed is hiring an Engineering Student Intern - Electrical to join its Building Energy Infrastructure (BEI) team at the Raleigh office, starting Summer 2027. The intern will work under the supervision of a senior engineer or project manager and collaborate with designers and technicians on a multidisciplinary project team. The role involves producing design and construction drawings for electrical, telecommunications, security, and fire alarm systems across various projects.

Requirements

• Be a junior or senior currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science program in Architectural Engineering with a focus in electrical, or in an Electrical Engineering Technology program.
• Have AutoCAD experience.
• Be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrate an excellent grasp of the professional field, along with leadership, team-building, and communication abilities.
• Be able to exercise good judgment in handling and solving complex technical and people assignments in line with the company’s five core values.
• Have a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

• Revit experience.
• Previous design experience.
