In this role, you will service and support existing customers by responding to service calls, carrying out Customer Support Programs, and handling small projects. Requirements

  • Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
  • Solid knowledge of engineering principles and practices related to building automation systems, and/or electronic security systems.
  • Solid technical and computer-based skills, proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper).
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis.
  • Minimal overnight travel may be required.
  • Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Experience: 3-5 years technical, IT, or low-voltage systems project

Nice To Haves

  • College degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, or low-voltage systems design coursework

Responsibilities

  • Carry out in-depth analysis of plans, functional specifications and contracts in order to determine and advise on technical project requirements.
  • Manage a variety of aspects of project including estimating, designing, tracking, start up and planning phases; material and equipment procurement.
  • Provide input, reviews and may prepare shop drawings and wiring diagrams, based on project plans and specifications, showing location of devices, equipment, and wiring etc.
  • Provide custom systems integrations, detailed systems upgrade planning and execution, systems audits and consultation, and/or database management and manipulation.
  • May install, configure, and support a variety of network systems and equipment for assigned projects.
