About The Position

Drive production excellence by leading teams, streamlining workflows, and ensuring on-time project delivery. The Engineering Services Team Lead is responsible for leading a team of production workers (Mechanical Assemblers, CNC Fabrication Machinists, Material Handlers) in a prefabrication/product modification environment to ensure efficient production processes and timely completion of orders. Tasked with organizing workflow, training new employees, and implementing quality control measures to meet productivity targets. Position provides transportation, inventory control, people supervision, workload planning, proficiency, and usage of Hilti system applications, and the oversee fabrication of capital projects. The position includes interfacing with project business project managers, master scheduler, fulfillment managers, business units, and other areas at corporate headquarters.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • High mechanical aptitude required.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting technical work instructions and drawings.
  • Knowledge of production processes and quality control standards.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of CNC experience, preferred.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse management systems, SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute all floor shop management tasks: workload balancing, performance and Best Practice Process management.
  • Lead and supervise a team of production workers (assemblers, CNC machinists, material handlers); run and supervise all daily business elements in the absence of ESC management.
  • Organize workflow to meet specifications and timelines.
  • Train new employees on production processes and safety protocols; assist in the development of standard operating procedures.
  • Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure product standards are met.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Address team member concerns and escalate issues as needed.
  • Monitor production metrics and report on team performance.
  • Troubleshoot production problems and implement solutions.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Run daily floor operations and direct ESC team members to ensure execution of the defined Engineering Service Center (ESC) targets.
  • Assist the ESC Manager in operational aspects including but not limited to: Efficient and accurate receiving, Customer service, Opening procedures and tasks, closing reports & procedures including securing and closing the facility at end of day, mitigating inventory loss, damage, and accuracy problems, and Maximizing labor hours while developing a strong working knowledge of all ESC equipment and the safe use of such equipment.
