Requirements

• Applicants must have interned with M.C. Dean previously to be considered for this role.
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program or higher in engineering or similar discipline.
• Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
• Sitting for extended periods of time.
• Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
• Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.
• Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
• Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
• Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
• Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
• Identify and understand the speech of another person.
• Ability to reliably travel to and from assigned offices, project locations, etc. is required.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience working side-by-side with experienced professionals in our labs, on project sites, or in our manufacturing facility to put their problem solving and creativity to work.
• Pursue certifications, land new skills, and network with mentors and organizational leadership.
• Support Automation Systems: Manufacture, design, and integrate automation systems and software.
• Support Critical Infrastructure Solutions: Design-build, modular construction, electrical, power and cooling.
• Support Electrical Systems: Design and build fully integrated modular electrical buildings, rooms, and assemblies.
• Support Facilities Engineering Operations & Maintenance: Operate, maintain, and augment critical facilities.
• Support Integrated Infrastructure & Communications Systems: Survey, design, and build telecom and low voltage systems.
• Support Life Safety: Design, install, program, and commission fire detection and alarm systems.
• Support Security & Electronic Systems: Design, engineer, integrate, operate, and maintain.
