The County of Riverside’s Transportation & Land Management Agency (TLMA) is seeking an Engineering Project Manager (EPM) for the Project Development Division, located in Riverside. This position will plan, organize, and direct the work of engineering staff, and coordinate that work with other divisions, departments, or agencies. The incumbent will review and perform highly complex engineering work, manage assignments, oversee quality assurance, review traffic studies, improvement plans, and other development-related technical studies. Additionally, the selected candidate will interpret and apply project conditions, state laws, ordinances, and policies into project review, and represent the Department at public meetings. The department seeks applicants with advanced knowledge and expertise in street design. Candidates must possess a minimum of four years of progressively responsible civil engineering experience, two years of which shall have been performing public works construction or design activities. Competitive candidates will be those with experience in roadway rehabilitation and sidewalk design, understanding of the American Disability Act requirements and how they apply in public rights-of-way, familiarity with federal, state, and local laws that apply to capital improvements projects. The Transportation Department is responsible for planning, designing, funding, building, operating and maintaining all roads, bridges, and transportation facilities within the unincorporated County territory.
