About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking an Engineering Project Manager for a contract position with a Global Medical Technology Company in Chandler, AZ. This is a 6+ month contract role where the individual contributor will be part of a Product Transfer team, focusing on high-impact, cost-transformative engineering projects. The role requires independent work across a network of stakeholders from Product Transfer, Operations, and Divisional partners within a manufacturing environment. The position demands the use of professional judgment with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 or more years of experience managing engineering projects in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven track record of working in a team-based environment
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills - able to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Effectively communicate project risks and manage expectations across different functional groups
  • Innovative thinker - should be able to envision new and better ways of doing things
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Project (be able to build a schedule and manage critical path)

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification
  • Engineering background or degree
  • Experience in an FDA regulated or regulated industry

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously
  • Prioritize tasks and assign team members to ensure effective resource utilization and meet project deadlines
  • Evaluate and escalate changes that significantly impact project scope, budget, or timeline
  • Lead engineering projects across multiple sites
  • Monitor progress and performance against the project plan
  • Identify and resolve operational problems to minimize delays
  • Work collaboratively with a counterpart project manager in Tijuana, Mexico
  • Manage ongoing relationship and effective communication with key project stakeholders
