About The Position

Join Apple's Information Systems and Technology group as an Engineering Project Manager (EPM) for GenAI, AI & Data Platforms (AiDP). This role is instrumental in orchestrating the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives that drive significant business impact within Apple's organization, focusing on generative AI and data platforms for Apple enterprise. You will be part of a team that champions enterprise generative AI by providing innovative GenAI-powered platforms and solutions to transform how we work, collaborating with an outstanding group of engineers, data scientists, engineering managers, and product and program managers. The ideal candidate thrives on working with new technologies, fast-paced application and platform development, and a multidisciplinary team working on the future of enterprise productivity.

Requirements

• 2+ years of industry experience in an engineering role
• 2+ years of managing engineering programs, bringing multiple teams together marching towards common objectives
• A foundational understanding or keen interest in Generative AI concepts; such as, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, agentic AI or efficient information access strategies
• Demonstrated technical acumen, capable of engaging in detailed discussions with engineers and researchers
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a technical field, or international degree equivalent

Nice To Haves

• One-plus years experience leading AI or ML programs in an enterprise environment
• Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their ML services
• Familiarity with Generative AI frameworks and libraries
• Ability to navigate ambiguity in a high-stakes, fast-moving environment with efficiency, discretion, integrity, and confidentiality
• A self-motivated, independent, and proactive person with exceptional interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
• Can quickly triage, prioritize, and lead under pressure
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, written and verbal, to all levels of an organization

Responsibilities

• Play a crucial role within diverse engineering teams across multiple layers of the technology stack, as well as critical cross-functional partners and business units.
• Facilitate requirements brainstorming and design review sessions, providing challenging insights and architectural considerations to engineering discussions.
• Contribute meaningfully to technical strategy and problem-solving.
• Champion the user experience, challenging decisions and advocating for solutions that prioritize the best outcomes for our users.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks, remove obstacles, and foster seamless communication and collaboration across all involved teams.
