About The Position

Apple’s Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) organization builds and manages the systems and tools used by Apple employees and customers. Within IS&T, AI & Data Platforms (AiDP) brings together data, application development, machine learning, generative AI, data services, and customer success to help teams build solutions efficiently and adopt generative AI across Apple. Its enterprise data warehouse manages petabytes of data and processes billions of rows to support analytics, machine learning, data science, and business decisions.

The Engineering Project Manager (EPM) will orchestrate the delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives with significant business impact. The role leads multidisciplinary teams developing enterprise data analytics platforms and solutions, builds consensus across groups with different needs, and drives execution toward shared goals. The EPM also contributes to product definition and roadmaps, creates project schedules and communication processes, and supports agility and coordination across AiDP and Apple.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of industry experience in an engineering role.
• At least 2 years of experience managing cloud infrastructure and database setup programs, bringing multiple teams together toward common objectives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or an international degree equivalent.
• Understanding of relational and NoSQL database setups.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure such as AWS, database security, and compliance areas.
• Understanding of networking and storage.
• Recognized ability to navigate ambiguity in a high-stakes, fast-moving environment with efficiency, discretion, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Self-motivated, independent, and proactive, with exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated creative and critical thinking.
• Ability to quickly triage and prioritize and to lead under pressure.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels.
• Experience with enterprise generative AI tools.

Nice To Haves

• One year of exposure to AI or ML programs in an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead large cross-functional platforms and solutions to deliver value to Apple teams.
• Drive consensus across multiple groups with varying opinions and needs.
• Align teams around a common purpose and drive agreement on execution plans.
• Create and manage project schedules with clear dependencies and critical paths, and systematically communicate status.
• Contribute to product definition by identifying and understanding customer needs and priorities and developing roadmaps.
• Build and run processes that enable agility and adaptation across AiDP teams.
• Build relationships across AiDP and Apple and facilitate communication between cross-divisional groups.
