About The Position

ERCO Worldwide is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Project Manager to join their Corporate Engineering team. This role involves managing projects from concept to completion, both for and with external customers, ensuring they are completed on schedule and within budget. The company has a long history, focusing on in-organic products and chlorine dioxide technology, serving diverse industries such as pulp and paper, food, energy, agriculture, water treatment, and specialty chemicals. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Field Engineering and Project Management.
  • Project Management training is required.
  • Professional Engineering License (P. Eng) required.
  • Managing capital projects up to $50 million.
  • Working knowledge of electrical and instrumentation engineering, mechanical equipment and piping design.
  • Experience with vendors, contracts and procurement.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Develop full scale project plans and produce project schedules while ensuring effective communication on project expectations to all team members and stakeholders.
  • Estimate resources and participants required to achieve project goals.
  • Coordinate between various work disciplines within the engineering department as well as external consultants, suppliers and contractors.
  • Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Issue project scope change documentation to all appropriate team members in a timely manner.
  • Ensure back charges are analyzed and resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner with the customer, contractors and suppliers.
  • Manage budgets and issue requests for quotation in a complete and timely manner.
  • Review Legal contracts, terms, and conditions, Services Agreements and Purchase Agreements in conjunction with legal counsel and Procurement.
  • Request and review with Legal Department to draft Non-Disclosure and Access Agreements and coordinate with third-party suppliers to fully execute contract documents.
  • Review calculations completed by both internal and external resources to ensure technical accuracy and alignment with the scope of the project.
  • Ensure project procedures are adhered to or deviations are communicated.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors.
  • Identify and address issues and conflicts within project teams.
  • Arrange and perform equipment inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Schedule project meetings, prepare agendas and draft minutes for the various phases of the project.
  • Work and coordinate contractors on site for the construction of infrastructures and installation of equipment.
  • Coordinate work and resources with team members, equipment suppliers and contractors during commissioning and start-up.
  • Actively participate in commercial discussions for equipment and services procurement.
  • Perform engineering calculations and designs within engineering expertise.
  • Enhance personal engineering knowledge to address gaps in the available expertise within the project team.
