About The Position

Sun Test Systems, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Configuration Management Specialist to manage engineering data and product configuration throughout the product lifecycle. The role connects Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management to ensure teams use the correct, approved product definition. The specialist administers configuration management processes and product baselines, controls engineering records and revisions, maintains traceability, and coordinates engineering changes—including USG ECPs, ERRs, and NORs—with internal teams and government representatives. The role also supports configuration status accounting, verification and audits, and the transfer of designs and documentation into manufacturing. The position includes Creo Parametric mechanical design and drafting, maintaining associations between CAD data and Windchill structures, creating and updating models, assemblies, drawings, and BOMs, and resolving data or design issues affecting production. The specialist also supports engineering users through procedures and training materials for Creo, Windchill, and configuration management. The position is based in Huntsville, Alabama, and requires U.S. citizenship and compliance with applicable federal program requirements, including CUI and ITAR.
