As a Senior Engineering Operations Analyst within the Automotive Business Unit, this role has a direct impact on how engineering teams plan, operate, and scale, influencing decisions across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Science, or related field.
  • OR Associate's degree and 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and Teams, for executive-ready communication and collaboration.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong organizational and communication skills, and effective planning capabilities.
  • Prior experience with financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Experience with visual analytics tools such as Tableau, and basic knowledge of SQL, Cognos TM1, Databricks, n8n, and/or Power BI.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools (e.g., Copilot) to improve productivity, automate analysis, and enhance reporting workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day operations for the Automotive BU, including planning cycles, operational reviews, and status tracking.
  • Maintain structured trackers, templates, and workbooks used across Automotive programs.
  • Assist with planning workflows by collecting and consolidating cross-functional inputs.
  • Update planning files related to capacity, demand, and resources, ensuring data is accurate, current, and consistently formatted.
  • Identify data gaps or missing inputs and flag issues for follow-up.
  • Track capacity, utilization, and progress metrics across Automotive initiatives.
  • Maintain status views highlighting updates, risks, and late or missing deliverables.
  • Support preparation of inputs for weekly and monthly operational reviews.
  • Track post-delivery action items, open issues, and stakeholder follow-ups.
  • Maintain clear records to support escalation and status reporting.
  • Build and maintain recurring reports and dashboards related to capacity, resource usage, and operational status.
  • Ensure outputs are clean, accurate, consistently formatted, and leadership-ready.
  • Partner with Engineering, Finance, Program Management, Product Management, and Operations teams to support execution.
  • Track action items, owners, and due dates, and draft concise status summaries.
  • Assist with process improvements to increase consistency and efficiency.
  • Use available tools (Excel, SharePoint, Tableau, AI-enabled features) to streamline recurring tasks and reporting.
