About The Position

This is a Fall Engineering or Metallurgy Co-op position at TIMET Toronto, OH. The program offers opportunities across multiple Engineering functions including Maintenance, Quality, Project Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering/Continuous Improvement. The assignment is a minimum of 3 months. The co-op student will partner with engineering teams to assist in projects, outages, and mechanical breakdowns.

Requirements

  • Enrolled and completed 2+ years accredited university in Engineering or similar discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing, documenting, and improving preventive maintenance or continuous improvement programs to support equipment availability and throughput.
  • Provide support for equipment failures and loss of production.
  • Assist in analyzing production delay data for establishing and documenting or modifying preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Provide support for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships.
  • Assist with Project Engineering duties.
  • Work with engineer(s) to prepare, coordinate, and maintain schedules for extended production outages and major maintenance work.
  • Work with maintenance craftsmen and operations to meet department goals.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
