About The Position

The Engineering Manager leads and develops the Mechanical Engineering Team by planning, organizing, directing, and completing engineering projects. This role also coordinates programs and activities to resolve manufacturing issues and support new process launches. The Engineering Manager is accountable for developing manufacturing capabilities and ensuring effective processes that maximize productivity and quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience leading major engineering projects, capital installations, product launches, or manufacturing start‑ups, with knowledge of tire manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Manufacturing process design and equipment integration (high‑volume manufacturing preferred).
  • Capital project management (scope, schedule, cost, contractor oversight).
  • Equipment reliability, lifecycle management, and modernization planning.
  • Root cause analysis, corrective action systems, and continuous improvement methods (Lean, Six Sigma, TPM).
  • Engineering standards, documentation, and regulatory compliance (ISO, OSHA, EHS).
  • Cost control, budgeting, and indirect spend optimization.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Owns mechanical engineering performance by leading people, governing engineering standards and processes, and delivering capital projects and improvements that enhance safety, reliability, quality, and cost effectiveness across tire manufacturing operations.
