About The Position

The Engineering Manager will oversee, schedule, and manage all design and development projects. This role involves designing and directing the work of the engineering team, setting objectives aligned with company improvement strategies, and occasionally participating in production and design work. The position offers engineering leadership, guidance in designing, maintaining, and executing project development plans, and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The manager will ensure optimal BAS layout/design, development, and support processes for clients, manage department expenses to meet corporate goals, and conduct annual performance reviews. This role is in Dallas, TX, and is with a building integration company specializing in BAS Controls, Security, HVAC, etc. The company has been in business for over 25 years and serves various industries including Critical Systems/Data Centers, Pharmaceuticals Facilities, Industrial Sites, Hospitality and Entertainment Venues, Healthcare Buildings and Campuses, Education Facilities, and Commercial Office Buildings and Campuses. They handle a mix of Retrofit, Service, and Design-build/New Construction projects.

Requirements

Prior experience as an Engineering Manager or similar position

Nice To Haves

Experience with BAS Controls, Security, HVAC, Lighting, Access Control, Video Surveillance, Electrical Monitoring, and other building sub systems

Responsibilities

Review and ensure all design drawings requirements are sufficiently met
Oversee, schedule, and manage all design and develop projects
Design and direct the work of the engineering team and help set objectives that align with company improvement strategies
Occasionally partake in production and design work
Provide engineering leadership and help design, maintain, and executive project development plans
Create and establish a culture that promotes innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement toward engineering projects and results
Ensure that all aspects of the BAS layout/design, development and support process are optimal for the client
Work closely with department expenses and ensure compliance and corporate goals are met
Conduct annual performance reviews
