StubHub is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a critical Payments team responsible for building and operating the systems that power how millions of fans buy and sell tickets globally. This team sits at the core of StubHub’s marketplace, owning highly available, secure, and scalable payment flows that directly impact conversion, trust, revenue, and regulatory compliance. This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who can balance people leadership with strong architectural judgment, operational excellence, and close partnership with Product, Risk, Finance, and Legal. You’ll be accountable for delivering resilient systems, developing engineers, and continuously raising the bar on reliability, velocity, and engineering craft. Location: Hybrid (3 days in office/2 days remote) – New York, NY Why This Role Matters: Payments is one of the most business-critical surfaces at StubHub. Your team owns the systems that enable checkout, payouts, fraud mitigation, and global expansion across a high-volume, high-stakes environment where correctness and uptime are non-negotiable. You’ll operate at meaningful scale, make architectural decisions with real financial impact, and help shape how StubHub evolves its payments platform to support new products, markets, and growth initiatives.
