Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 1 year in an engineering management role.
  • Proven ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with hands-on execution and short-term delivery.
  • Strong experience designing, delivering, and operating distributed, multi-tenant systems at scale.
  • Comfort being hands-on when needed, including coding, code reviews, technical documentation, incident response, and system troubleshooting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with a passion for building high-performing engineering teams.
  • Experience working in fast-growth environments and scaling teams and platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Nice-to-have experience with blockchain technologies, crypto platforms, Golang, Ruby, Docker, Rails, Postgres, and high-reliability or security-focused systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow engineering teams responsible for building and operating mission-critical systems that support institutional onboarding, activation, and growth.
  • Translate strategic objectives into clear technical roadmaps, breaking down complex initiatives into well-defined and executable projects.
  • Drive architectural decisions, promote engineering excellence, and ensure high reliability, scalability, and security across distributed systems.
  • Partner closely with product, design, data, compliance, and operations teams to deliver seamless onboarding and growth experiences.
  • Coach and mentor engineers and managers, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and high performance.
  • Own and improve engineering processes, delivery standards, and service-level objectives while supporting incident management and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with talent teams to attract, hire, and retain top engineering talent aligned with high-impact, mission-driven work.
