This role oversees the resources responsible for the design of our motors, sensors, actuation and pilot controls product lines and is based out of our world class Niles, IL facility. This facility is home to both our primary engineering development center and our primary manufacturing center for these precision aerospace products.

Requirements

  • 4 year Bachelors Degree (BS) OR 10+ years of equivalent experience
  • Leadership Experience
  • CAD system and Drafting Standards experience
  • 6 to 8 years of Engineering experience in aerospace or closely related field
  • This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of the ITAR and EAR, or eligible to obtain all required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce. Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Oversees and directs a team of engineering professionals to achieve short term operational objectives and maintain high performance standards.
  • Performance Management: Conducts performance appraisals, manages hiring and termination processes, and implements training and development programs to enhance team skills.
  • Operational Planning: Develops and adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges, ensuring the achievement of financial and operational goals.
  • Technical Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves technical and operational issues, considering their broader impact on the department and implementing effective solutions.
  • Cross Department Collaboration: Partners with other departments to integrate engineering initiatives with overall business objectives, ensuring seamless operational synergy.
