Engineering Manager – DevOps and SRE

About The Position

We are looking for an engineering manager for leading DevOps teams to implement strategies, methods, and automated processes that bridge the gap between software development and IT operations. They ensure that systems are reliable, secure, and optimized while guiding the adoption of infrastructure as code (IaC) and maintaining continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience with a deep focus on automation and infrastructure.
  • 5+ years of experience scripting (Python, Bash), CI/CD orchestration (Jenkins, GitLab CI), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
  • 3+ years of experience deploying and managing enterprise-scale platforms on major cloud providers (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
  • 3+ years of experience in a formal people leadership role, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, communicate effectively across teams, and solve high-impact technical challenges.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience and knowledge of observability tools like Dynatrace, Grafana, and Splunk.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud and its services, such as Cloud SQL, Big Table, Big Query, PubSub, and Dataflows.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
  • Experience overseeing SaaS platform operations and support.
  • Passionate about the automotive and transportation industry.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and mentoring DevOps engineers, overseeing project workflows, and setting team goals.
  • Building, testing, and maintaining cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure as code.
  • Building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient software delivery.
  • Monitoring software performance, troubleshooting system errors, and implementing preventative measures to ensure high uptime.
  • Bridging development and operations teams, improving collaboration, and optimizing development workflows.
  • Ensuring security best practices are implemented throughout the software development lifecycle.
