About The Position

The Engineering Leadership Program (ELP) Member for General Dynamics Mission Systems will rotate within several different disciplines including their major, Systems Engineering, Business Development, Internal Research and Development (IRAD), and the option to rotate into other areas of interest that they select. While completing different rotations, they will also complete a technical master’s degree, undergo internal training, be involved in community engagement, and establish a strong professional network. This program offers an exciting career path with opportunities for continuous learning and development, research-oriented work alongside award-winning teams developing practical solutions for national security, and flexible schedules with every other Friday off work (9/80 schedule) if desired. The position is hybrid, allowing flexibility between on-site and home, with on-site work at the McLeansville, North Carolina facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • GPA of at least 3.2; 3.6 preferred.
  • Previous internship or project work in your discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, face challenging tasks, communicate effectively, and work in a team environment.
  • A passion for supporting those who serve, learning and applying new concepts, and community involvement.
  • Strong Technical Background.
  • Demonstrated Leadership Experience.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills.
