About The Position

Lake Hope Lodge is seeking candidates for an Engineering Lead responsible for leading the day to day operation of the facility maintenance and shift coverage. This includes cabins, meeting spaces, HVAC, kitchens, laundry and building exterior. The candidate must have 1 to 2 years hands on supervisory/management experience with preferred 2 year technical training certificate in mechanical equipment repairs, building maintenance or similar. Hospitality industry experience a plus. Must possess a Valid Driver's License.

Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years hands on supervisory/management experience
  • Must possess a Valid Driver's License.
  • Must have 3-5 years maintenance experience, with 1 - 2 years direct maintenance supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge in HVAC, boilers, electrical, carpentry, dry walling, painting, plumbing, roofing, and landscaping required
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and repair routine mechanical and electrical malfunctions in hotel systems and equipment.
  • Must be willing and able to be responsive to complaints about maintenance and be willing and able to “pitch in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
  • Considerable knowledge of mathematical skills necessary to interpret electrical, mechanical and building systems.
  • Considerable knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems with the ability to analyze their design and intent and performance.
  • Considerable knowledge of construction and building systems
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Nice To Haves

  • preferred 2 year technical training certificate in mechanical equipment repairs, building maintenance or similar.
  • Hospitality industry experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and assigns the daily activities of department personnel
  • Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and other equipment throughout the hotel.
  • Performs preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis
  • Supervises maintenance of the building exterior and curb appeal for snow removal, lawn care, painting, and other gardening.
  • Develop associate skills through training while ensuring safety programs are effective and compliant with corporate standards, OSHA and other regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills required for maintaining critical spare parts inventory, purchasing supplies for the department and submitting capital planning requests.
