About The Position

Ediphi is seeking an Engineering Lead to manage one of its feature teams. This role operates within a Trifecta model, requiring close collaboration with a Product Manager and Designer to define the team's roadmap, mentor engineers, and deliver high-quality software. The company values building diverse teams and encourages applications from individuals who may not meet every qualification. The Engineering Lead will be hands-on, contributing to technical decisions, architecture, and code reviews, while fostering technical excellence and ensuring a balance of speed, scalability, and quality. The role is based in a remote environment, utilizing tools for asynchronous collaboration, with team meetings typically scheduled between 8-11 PT.

Requirements

  • Prior experience leading, which could be as a technical lead or engineering manager, with a passion for helping others grow.
  • Customer-centric mindset, focusing on understanding the 'why' behind implementation.
  • Collaborative working style, enjoying cross-disciplinary work to find creative solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, including asking clarifying questions, ensuring all voices are heard, and guiding discussions to conclusions.
  • Pragmatic enthusiasm for AI and its application in improving development speed and understanding customers/codebase.
  • Attention to quality and correctness in the development process.
  • Proficiency in modern web technologies, preferably Node.js, React, TypeScript, and Postgres.

  • Experience in construction tech or fintech.

Responsibilities

  • Directly lead and mentor a group of 2–4 engineers, including regular 1:1s and facilitating a lightweight 360 review cycle.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Manager and Designer partners to shape roadmaps, understand customer problems, co-craft solutions, and drive execution.
  • Foster technical excellence by partnering with engineers on technical decisions, considering speed, scalability, and quality.
  • Be hands-on by reviewing code, contributing to architecture, and helping remove roadblocks.
  • Work effectively in a distributed, remote environment using tools like Slack, Notion, and Loom for async collaboration.
