In a Covestro Engineering Internship you’ll work closely with some of the industry’s best and brightest managers and scientists in one of the Business Entities of Covestro – Thermoplastic Polyurethane Unit (TPU) or Performance Materials. You will learn about Covestro products, which can include their chemistry, applications, end uses, customer base, and future business opportunities. You will get hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, as well as an up-close view of how we work closely with our technical and commercial operations. You will work closely with the manufacturing staff to identify, initiate and supervise process improvement projects to optimize production capacity, minimize waste and ensure safe, reliable, efficient operation in compliance with all applicable internal and external regulations. The internship program will begin in mid-May of 2027 and lasts approximately 12 weeks. Some other responsibilities within a manufacturing-based internship at Covestro include supporting the development and implementation of capital projects, implementation of Management of Change for process improvements and helping to implement system improvements for mechanical reliability improvements. Additionally, you may support various teams and work on internal projects along with personnel from research, applications development, technology and engineering.
