About The Position

As a summer 2027 engineering student intern with Olsson's Transmission and Distribution team, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career. You could contribute to the intricate network of poles and wires crisscrossing the skies. Or assist with designing the robust, high-powered substations that are vital to our communities. Our work involves more than just improving the visual landscape; we upgrade electrical systems to meet future energy demands. From conception to completion, our skilled engineers and technicians bring these essential projects to life. You’ll assist with project design using AutoCAD, perform research, write technical reports, and, if needed, travel to job sites for observation. Requirements

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to contribute and work well on a team
• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical, civil, or mechanical engineering
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving and math skills

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
