About The Position

This summer internship is designed for college students pursuing an engineering degree who are seeking hands-on experience in manufacturing and product design. Interns will collaborate with experienced engineers to support manufacturing processes, product development, and process improvement projects. It's an excellent opportunity to gain real-world experience in manufacturing, process improvement, and product development while working alongside industry professionals.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering fields
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for reports and presentations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
• Ability to analyze and manage engineering data
• Understanding of engineering principles, probability, statistics, and process optimization
• Ability to apply calculations, ratios, and technical analysis to solve real-world problems
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Walk and stand in a manufacturing environment for extended periods
• Strong vision abilities to inspect technical drawings and production processes

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in manufacturing, engineering projects, or hands-on mechanical work is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist in engineering projects related to manufacturing and product design
• Analyze and interpret data to improve processes and efficiency
• Troubleshoot and solve production or mechanical issues
• Support manufacturing teams by working on process optimization and workflow improvements
• Document engineering changes, technical reports, and process updates
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and maintenance
