About The Position

We are seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to support bench validation and characterization of power semiconductor devices. This role offers hands-on experience working with real hardware, laboratory test setups, and engineering data used in the development and qualification of power devices. The intern will work closely with experienced engineers in a lab environment and gain exposure to industry-standard validation methodologies.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in: Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits and semiconductor devices.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes and power supplies.
  • Ability to work methodically, document results clearly, and follow test procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn in a hands-on lab environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework or experience in power electronics or power semiconductor devices.
  • Exposure to MOSFETs, IGBTs, SiC, or GaN devices.
  • Experience with bench testing, hardware debugging, or lab-based projects.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Excel, MATLAB, Python, or similar.
  • Understanding of basic electrical safety and ESD practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in bench validation and characterization of power semiconductor devices (e.g., MOSFETs, IGBTs, diodes, wide bandgap devices).
  • Set up and operate laboratory test equipment, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, function generators, and thermal measurement tools.
  • Support electrical and thermal testing, such as: Static and dynamic device measurements, Switching performance evaluation, Efficiency and loss measurements, SOA and reliability-related tests.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze test data; assist in generating test reports and documentation.
  • Help maintain lab organization, test fixtures, and validation hardware.
  • Follow established test procedures, safety guidelines, and ESD practices.
  • Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot test issues and improve bench setups.

Benefits

  • Hands-on experience in power semiconductor validation and testing.
  • Exposure to real-world engineering lab workflows and hardware development cycles.
  • Mentorship from experienced power electronics and device engineers.
  • Practical skills in measurement techniques, data analysis, and technical documentation.
