About The Position
The Engineering Intern supports the Engineering and Production teams by assisting with process improvements, design updates, and data-driven problem solving. This role contributes to improving manufacturing efficiency, maintaining accurate engineering documentation, and supporting troubleshooting and implementation of equipment and process changes.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- CAD design required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Nice To Haves
- SolidWorks & ERP system experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist with process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Assist in bringing drawings up to date with current tooling and parts
- Support production troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Collect and analyze data related to quality, scrap, and downtime
- Help develop and update work instructions, bill of materials, and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with production and quality teams
- Support implementation of new equipment or process changes
- Assist in design improvements for electrical routings
- Assist in design improvements of hose routings and lengths
- Other duties and projects assigned.
