About The Position

FORVIA is looking for a year-round Engineering Intern for its headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan. This is a unique opportunity as the Engineering Intern will participate in rotational development up to point of graduation, having each 6-month term with a different area of Faurecia R&D. The Engineering Intern works on assigned projects, assist manager in areas of design, engineering, drawings, equipment, and/or documentation.

Requirements

• Full Time Student enrolled in an accredited 4 year College or University
• Graduation date of December 2027 or later
• Can work atleast 24 hours during School
• Minimum 2.8 GPA
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering field, or similar
• Familiarity with primary manufacturing methods
• Per Training Plan matrix
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Active listening skills
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple ongoing tasks
• Good interpersonal and presentation skills
• Data entry proficiency
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Learns how to produce/develop designs
• Assists with alternative design solutions
• Maintains strong familiarity with specific customer requirements
• Completes all assignments with the prescribed schedules
• Propose continuous improvement ideas in business efficiency and cost reduction
• Capitalizes on knowledge and shares best practices / lessons learned across organization and within the site

• All other duties as assigned by the company
