About The Position

Pruitt Tool & Supply, Co. is seeking an Engineering Intern at its corporate offices in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The company manufactures and refurbishes specialized drilling equipment for the oil and gas industry and is API Q1 Quality Management Certified. The intern will support Design Engineers and Engineering Technicians, applying academic knowledge to engineering work. Tasks may include updating file properties in AutoDesk Vault, assisting with CAD drawings, analyzing report data, assisting with test design and implementation, and conducting research. Work hours can be arranged around the incumbent’s class schedule. The selected candidate must pass a drug test as a condition of employment.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled as a freshman or sophomore.
• Strong interest in engineering principles and design concepts.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Extremely detail oriented.
• Ability to think creatively to solve problems.
• Aptitude for troubleshooting problems using logic and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to multitask and transition easily from one task to another.
• Must pass a drug test as a condition of employment.
