About The Position

The Engineering Intern will work in Process Engineering to design, test, and implement wire-forming fixtures for standard and custom DC-DC converter products. The role supports production by developing fixtures and stable, repeatable forming processes, resolving process- or fixture-related issues, and collaborating with operations to identify process and design improvements. The intern will also support the release of fixture documentation, including procedures, manufacturing drawings, and 3D models.

Requirements

Be enrolled in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Have experience with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software.
Be able to design tools and fixtures with minimal guidance.
Have analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Have strong communication skills and the ability to interact with multiple stakeholders.
Be a team player who enjoys working across disciplines.
Be a high-energy, results-focused self-starter.
Be able to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently.
Have strong organization and planning skills.
Be a U.S. citizen or valid Green Card holder.

Nice To Haves

Experience developing technical or manufacturing drawings.
Experience with 3D printing.
Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM).

Responsibilities

Design, test, and implement wire-forming fixtures for a variety of DC-DC converter products.
Support production by implementing forming fixtures and developing repeatable forming processes.
Address process- or fixture-related issues quickly and effectively.
Work with operations to identify process and design improvements.
Support the release of fixture documentation, including procedures, manufacturing drawings, and 3D models.
