About The Position
ATC is seeking a Civil Design Engineering Intern to support the work of our Design Engineers and Designers. You’ll contribute to real-world utility projects while gaining experience in civil design and transmission engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree student in Civil Engineering
- Interest in utility design and infrastructure development
- Working knowledge of CAD tools such as AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- A valid driver’s license for occasional field visits
Responsibilities
- Acquire and organize engineering records and data for use in design development
- Participate in material procurement and support project design documentation
- Assist in preparing detailed drawings and conducting structural analysis
- Review and integrate field markups into finalized as-built drawings
- Update asset databases and confirm field conditions to ensure design accuracy
- Review external engineering consultant scopes of services for cost, schedule and project scope alignment
- Occasionally participate in field work to verify design implementations
