About The Position
Element has an opportunity for an Engineering Intern to join our Cincinnati team. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills within a Global TIC business and learn how we impact the Aerospace industry.
Requirements
- Enrolled in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, or Materials Engineering college courses
- Hands-on job
- Sound mechanical bias
- Self-motivated with the ability to multitask, organize and work under the pressure of a busy commercial mechanical test laboratory
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A team player attitude
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Support daily activities for all Aerospace departments
- Fatigue data input: Analyze LCF data, Lims data entry, and frame input
- Fatigue crack growth measurements – perform and develop improved process
- Run machining and testing equipment
- Project management/coordination
- Client communication
- Review and update current processes and equipment
- Develop new testing methods
- Excel template validation/creation
- Develop and maintain training manuals and TPM information
- Performing general duties in accordance with Element's internal procedures, quality as well as Health and Safety system
