About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to join the world’s leader in synthetic turf manufacturing, facility design, and construction. The candidate will have an opportunity to work under the guidance of registered engineers and learn the process of athletic facility design, utilizing Autocad civil 3D to assist with production, sorting permit request for agencies, and performing storm water calculations and reports utilizing HydroCAD and/or Hydraflow Hydrograph. Work will be for all levels of athletic facility design and construction.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a program earning a Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or an ABET Certified Technical Degree from four-year College or University.
  • Previous experience with site grading, layout, drainage, water, sewer, earthwork, and sediment control for civil site design is preferred but not required.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D Proficiency is preferred.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Under supervision and much decision-making: Assist in the preparation of civil design / construction plans, including notes and details, plan and profile sheets, and x-sections.
  • Perform necessary calculations required by the local Regulatory Agency
  • Create, submit, and monitor project permitting packages.
  • Assist in the preparation of construction cost estimates.
  • Assist in the preparation of water/sewer/stormwater design calculations and reporting as necessary for athletic facility development.
  • Prepare technical reports, memos and exhibits.
  • Search, investigate, and select technical reference data pertinent to a project
  • Maintain technical coordination with sales and design staff
  • Maintain positive communication with project managers, staff, clients and subcontractors.
  • Follows company safety regulations, standard operating procedures, and quality standards.
  • Works with customers, installation crews, sub-contractors and Sales to resolve operational and technical issues and challenges.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
  • Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Assist in the accomplishment of Company goals.
  • Helps other employees to accomplish Company goals.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by department supervisor.
  • Participates in the Disaster Recovery plan as required

  • Maintain multi-tasking skills to prioritize ever changing needs, demands, crisis management
  • Customer Service, Customer Demands, Construction RFI processing.

  • Installation Techniques and Processes
  • Attend sales meetings with Regional Sales Managers to outline minimum civil details and design recommendations
  • Visit regional aggregate quarries, verify material compliance
  • Visit with regional civil partners and subcontractors
  • Read and assemble the specifications to make sure we have the proper budget allocation for close out material and expectations to properly close out the project.
  • Track projects and communicate daily with Supervisor to ensure documents are assembled according to outlined schedule.
  • Assist in project closeout.
