About The Position

Collins Engineer, Inc. is offering a civil engineering student an opportunity to gain experience in structural inspections. The St. Paul, Minnesota, office has an opening for a Structural Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. The position combines office work with time in the field, providing hands-on experience collaborating on above- and underwater bridge inspections, bridge design and load rating, and other tasks with experienced engineers. The intern will be paired with licensed professional engineers and help create reports using data collected from field sites.

Requirements

• Be a junior or senior working toward a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.
• Have a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bluebeam, or Civil 3D.
• Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe PDF or other PDF editing software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on above- and underwater bridge inspections.
