Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field; must remain enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the internship.
Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above (verified at time of hire)
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate and build relationships
Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Work on engineering projects related to development of new products, with areas of emphasis that may include human factors engineering, risk management, application of statistics, reliability engineering, design verification, and design validation including customer interaction.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product sustainment. Perform robust root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions when non-conforming issues arise in production.
Optimize production, inspection, and quality system processes using tools such as CAD for fixture design, root cause analysis methods, LabView, and validation activities.
Work closely with suppliers to ensure components and their manufacturing processes meet required standards, utilizing technical and business skills.
Ensure the development and sustainment of products with the highest quality by working with internal cross-functional teams and external sales teams and customers.
Evaluate risk, ensure customer user needs are met, and help drive craftsmanship, safety, durability, and reliability into the product.
Handle post-market complaints and implement design changes as needed to address quality issues, working closely with regulatory affairs.
