We are hiring talented Co-ops/Interns to join our team at our Eastover, SC for Process, Reliability, Quality, Process Control and Capital Projects Roles.

Requirements

  • Students currently pursuing B.S. degrees are preferred.
  • Cumulative GPA minimum of 2.8, demonstrated via current, unofficial transcripts is required to interview.
  • Desired Engineering majors: Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Material Science, and Paper Science
  • Have a strong desire and interest to work in a heavy manufacturing setting
  • Demonstrated leadership skills (prior jobs, student associations, projects, etc.)
  • Have a high regard for safety in the workplace and active willingness to be a safety leader
  • Be a highly motivated self-starter, results-driven individual who can perform well in a team setting, is adaptable and can effectively deal with ambiguity
  • Be a critical and creative thinker with strong analytical skills and is an outside-of-the-box problem solver
  • Be eager to develop, go outside of their comfort zone and take on stretch assignments necessary for career success and overall success of the mill and Company
  • Have a desire to develop, help and mentor others while also being open and willing to be mentored
  • Be comfortable with all levels of employees including operators, engineers, contractors, and management
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening
  • A source of reliable transportation is required.
  • Open to the potential for relocation now and in the future

Nice To Haves

  • Ideally have manufacturing internship and/or co-op experience (highly preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Owning specific value-added projects for the mill
  • Collect samples
  • Work in teams on optimization or cost reduction projects
  • Learn systems and tools for collecting and analyzing data
  • Determine if this industry & company are a fit for the individual
