About The Position

HRG is seeking an Engineering Intern | Civil in their Allentown, PA office. This internship offers hands-on experience supporting real-world engineering projects within a dedicated service group. The role is designed to provide exposure to the engineering field, foster professional growth, and help develop foundational skills for future career advancement. The intern will work closely with experienced team members, contribute to meaningful projects, and learn about engineering practices in areas such as municipal & water resources, site design, water & wastewater, or transportation.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in engineering or a related field, preferred but not required
No prior professional experience required; previous internship or coursework in engineering is a plus
Demonstrated willingness to learn and take initiative
Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Work collaboratively and communicate effectively and professionally with team members
Effective utilization of common business platforms such as Microsoft Office Suite, virtual meeting tools, project management systems, etc.
Flexibility to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices as necessary, which may include overnight stays
Valid US Driver’s License is required
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Assist with basic tasks in the design and development of engineering projects under supervision
Gather and organize project data, including code requirements and industry standards
Support data collection, field inspections, and preparation of technical documentation
Use standard office and engineering software to support project activities
Ensure accuracy and quality in assigned tasks
Suggest ideas to improve project efficiency and organization
