About The Position

Position Summary The Engineering Intelligence Intern will support cross-functional engineering initiatives by assisting with project coordination, lab-based testing activities, and technical documentation. This role offers exposure to real-world medical device development and manufacturing processes within a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined, detail-oriented student who is interested in learning how engineering projects move from concept to execution in the medical device industry. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Project & Engineering Support Assist Project Managers in coordinating project activities and tracking milestones Attend engineering meetings and capture key action items Maintain and update project dashboards and status trackers Support the creation and publishing of project documentation and collateral Help organize team events, project communications, and cross-functional updates Assist with procurement tasks such as ordering materials and team supplies Lab & Testing Support Support engineering testing activities in the TransMedics laboratory Assist with test setup, execution, and documentation under engineer supervision Record and organize test data in accordance with quality standards Ensure compliance with safety protocols and lab procedures Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying process efficiencies What You’ll Learn How engineering projects are managed in a regulated medical device environment Exposure to manufacturing, quality systems, and cross-functional collaboration Best practices in documentation, traceability, and compliance Hands-on experience supporting lab-based validation and testing activities Professional communication within engineering and operations teams Qualifications Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field (Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar) College Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student Strong written and verbal communication skills Mechanical aptitude and comfort working in lab environments Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Highly organized with strong attention to detail Commitment to learning and adhering to safety and quality protocols Preferred (Not Required) Exposure to project management tools or dashboards Prior lab, manufacturing, or engineering internship experience Interest in medical device, healthcare technology, or regulated industries Hours: 30- 40 hours per week. Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field (Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar)
