Fluidstack•Austin, TX
•$202,000 - $261,000

About The Position

Fluidstack’s R&D organization designs future generations of its data center product, including modular builds, cooling and power architectures, and the pipeline for moving prototypes into deployable capacity. The team works across mechanical, electrical, controls, and compute engineering, partnering with manufacturing and supply chain to advance designs from first article to repeatable production at gigawatt scale. The Engineering Generalist will be the right hand to the Head of Development Engineering, working alongside the head of R&D to take on high-priority problems and drive them to decisions or delivered results. The role leads cross-organizational initiatives from initial scoping through completion, coordinating across engineering teams and their leaders to keep projects, pilots, and R&D efforts aligned on priorities, owners, and dates. It also develops first-order analysis to inform technical direction and manages the R&D leadership operating cadence, including agendas, decisions, action items, and status reports that identify slippage and recovery needs. Fluidstack emphasizes autonomy, urgency, first-principles reasoning, and high-intensity work. The company is focused on delivering large-scale compute infrastructure for AI and operates across hardware and software, including acquiring power, designing and building data centers, and operating them.
