About The Position
The Engineering Estimator assists customers by providing technical solutions, generating drawings, responding to customer inquiries and orders, and facilitating orders through production and delivery. This is a fast-paced, multitasking position requiring accuracy in meeting project deadlines. The role is full-time and non-exempt, based at Shea Concrete Products’ headquarters in Amesbury or Wilmington, Massachusetts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, organized, and able to maintain a professional demeanor.
- Ability to manage multiple jobs at various stages.
- Enthusiastic, confident, and motivated to work hard.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry 20 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience.
Responsibilities
- Use Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Excel to generate submittals and production drawings.
- Read plans to produce takeoffs, estimates, and orders.
- Generate sales quotes and orders.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for residential and commercial projects while maintaining competitiveness and quality standards.
- Support the bidding process.
- Communicate with customers about orders, submittals, production, and delivery.
- Follow orders through production and delivery to provide a seamless customer experience.
