About The Position

The Engineering - Emerging Leader Program (ELP) is designed to provide participants with comprehensive training in technical skills, leadership, business insights, and culture integration. The program covers core objectives such as safety, quality, scheduling, customer satisfaction, supervisory skills, performance management, mentorship, accountability, execution, risk-taking, budgeting, communication, collaboration, and innovation. Participants will be involved in various aspects of manufacturing and engineering projects.

Requirements

  • Have or will obtain a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, Technology or Business by May 2026 or December 2026
  • Previous internship experience (preferably in Manufacturing or functional area)
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Desire to work in a Manufacturing environment
  • Technical aptitude
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Involvement in mechanical/electrical projects and installations, working closely with plant millwrights, electricians, and mechanics.
  • Participate in manufacturing process improvements and troubleshooting production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Involvement in computer integrated manufacturing and information systems projects including automation, robotics, and process/inventory control.
  • Assist in identification of component specifications; identify vendors, and parts/systems procurement.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Solidworks to draft machine parts, assemblies, and layouts and update existing engineering drawings.
  • Responsible for writing procedures, assembling charts, diagrams, and directions for technical tasks.
  • Support the maintenance department planning functions utilizing data analysis and CMMS.
  • Assist in design and programming of manufacturing control systems.
  • Utilize mechanical engineering skills for general plant and manufacturing support.
  • Assist in research and planning for capital projects.
  • Serve as assistant project manager during capital projects.
  • Assist Engineering Manager and other department employees with other duties as required.
