About The Position

ESFM is the corporate facilities management (FM) division of Compass Group USA. This position is responsible for end-to-end ownership of construction and engineering documentation, serving as the single point of accountability for document accuracy, version control, change management, and total archival integrity. This role manages all construction plans, as-built documentation, and engineering records while coordinating closely with internal teams, third-party firms, and the building lessor. This position goes beyond traditional document control and includes hands-on plan modifications, change management leadership for the Facilities Operations and Engineering team (FO&E), monthly and annual stakeholder reporting, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) administration, reflecting current senior-level expectations.

Requirements

  • 3-5 Years of experience in Documents Control or similar field.
  • Proven experience in engineering or construction document control with ownership responsibility.
  • Revit and Autodesk expertise, including hands-on plan modification and model updates.
  • Strong experience with Autodesk software, including Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) for document control and collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change control processes and technical documentation workflows.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in fast-paced construction environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities, business or similar field.
  • Autodesk Certified Professional for CAD/Revit or similar EDMS certifications
  • Experience supporting FO&E documentation and coordination.
  • Background working directly with lessors, owners, or facilities teams.
  • Familiarity with BIM standards, digital archiving best practices, and construction lifecycle documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the complete document control program for all construction plans, drawings, specifications, and related technical documentation.
  • Maintain accurate version control and change history for all issued drawings, including design, construction, and as-built sets.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for all project documentation across internal teams and external partners.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and third-party consultants to collect, validate, and integrate updated as-built drawings.
  • Personally execute plan revisions and updates in Revit and Autodesk applications when project scope and scale allow.
  • Track all building changes from issuance through final archival to ensure long-term accuracy of records.
  • Lead the change management program for FO&E documentation, ensuring scope changes are properly reviewed, documented, approved, and issued.
  • Maintain logs for drawing changes, revisions, and change orders, ensuring alignment between construction, FO&E, and ownership requirements.
  • Produce monthly reporting packages and updated plan sets for the building lessor and internal leadership.
  • Design, implement, and own the document archive and records retention program for all project phases.
  • Support audits, inspections, and future modifications with reliable historical documentation.
