About The Position
At Toole Design, we’re creating safer, more connected communities through sustainable multimodal transportation engineering. We’re seeking an Engineering Director in Minneapolis, MN to lead and grow our thriving Midwest practice, guiding a talented team delivering innovative projects that make communities more livable. This role is ideal for a strategic leader who enjoys big-picture thinking, building and mentoring teams, pursuing and winning work, and consistently exceeding client expectations.
Requirements
- PE license and local/regional consulting experience
- 15+ years in multimodal design, including conceptual design and construction documents
- 10+ years in project/design management and business development
- Strong client relationship skills with a proven track record of winning work
- Expertise in street design, construction documents, cost estimating, and permitting
Responsibilities
- Mentor staff and project teams while overseeing the design and delivery of high-quality multimodal transportation projects.
- Foster a positive, high-performing culture that supports collaboration, growth, and accountability.
- Shape and implement regional marketing and growth strategies, identify key pursuits, and strengthen client relationships.
- Lead and grow our thriving Midwest practice.
- Guide a talented team delivering innovative projects that make communities more livable.
