About The Position

GDIT's Federal Health Division is hiring an Engineering Deployment Site Practitioner to support the full lifecycle of the Veterans Affairs Electronic Health Record (EHR) system implementation across multiple medical centers. This role involves performing and organizing discovery efforts at various hospitals and clinics (sites) related to End User Devices (EUDs), interfaced systems, and Data Drops & Power Outlets (DDPO). Post-discovery analysis will inform technical scope and requirements. Building an understanding of the client's standard capabilities, devices, and interfaces is essential for meaningful discovery and gap analysis. The role also supports device procurement tracking & logistics, manages relationships with local site IT leaders and other technology/network/engineering groups, and supports the technical readiness for a new EHR transition. This may include external vendor management/coordination, cutover planning & support, and project management of engineering activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of progressive experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Project, PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Oracle Health EHR (or similar EHR vendor platforms)
  • Experience supporting the VA EHRM

Responsibilities
