About The Position

Aptar is seeking an Engineering Data Analyst – Intern based in Cary, IL. This position is fully onsite. As a Data Analyst Intern, you will be part of the North American Regional Technical Center team that is focused on delivering Innovative and Sustainable solutions for our North American Beauty Segment. You will play a critical role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and optimize our packaging solutions. You will be a key collaborator with engineers, design teams, and business leaders, providing data-driven solutions to complex challenges across the entire packaging lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Working towards an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in data analysis, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment (preferred).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PPT, database tools, PowerBI, PowerApp
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques (SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Working knowledge of SAP data extraction, transfer and integration in to supporting software systems for analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to transform data into presentable charts, analysis for key business case proposals.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere.
  • Ability to learn new systems and software to support data tracking and reporting.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized.
  • Good attitude and work ethic with high personal and professional standards.
  • Should be analytical thinker, who is comfortable working with large data sets and doing complex analysis, and most importantly converting results into charts/formats to support business decisions.
  • Strong communication skills that allows clear and objective reporting.
  • Fluency in English (other languages is a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement efficient data collection processes from various engineering and manufacturing sources (sensors, machines, ERP systems).
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through data cleaning, validation, and standardization.
  • Manage and maintain data warehouses and infrastructure for analysis.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of operational data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement statistical models to predict performance, optimize processes, and reduce costs.
  • Create compelling visualizations and reports to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with engineers, designers, and business leaders to translate data into actionable solutions.
  • Present findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner to senior management.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and technologies in data analytics and packaging engineering.
  • Develop and maintain training and communication content to transfer knowledge to technical community.
