About The Position
Pigler Automation is a growing industrial automation company looking to add a Controls Engineering Intern to our team. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced engineers on real-world automation projects that help power industries around the world. Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, Or a related technical field
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Strong communication skills
- Interest in industrial automation, controls engineering, or manufacturing technology
- All candidates should be able to display a high level of self-motivation and be comfortable working in a collaborative team environment.
- We are looking for someone who is curious, eager to learn, and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to AutoCAD, eplan, or similar drafting software
- Familiarity with PLCs, robotics, manufacturing systems, or automation technologies
- Experience with programming concepts
- Knowledge of electrical systems or controls
- Experience with virtual machines, servers, or IT infrastructure
- Participation in engineering clubs, projects, competitions, or internships
Responsibilities
- Creating and updating AutoCAD electrical drawings
- Assisting with panel layouts, rack layouts, and I/O documentation
- Supporting engineering documentation and project deliverables
- Assisting with virtual machine and internal infrastructure projects
- Learning industrial automation concepts including PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems
- Working alongside experienced engineers to support active customer projects
- Participating in engineering reviews, team meetings, and project planning activities
