Requirements

  • Directs, develops, and motivates staff to meet objectives that assist in achieving the District's strategic business plan.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and supervision of daily Diversity compliance monitoring activities and operations of the MWBE Compliance Inspectors Group.
  • Supervises the work and training of MWBE compliance inspectors, MWBE consultant inspection personnel, MWBE Compliance Specialist and administrative support staff who have assigned responsibilities involving the management of Diversity Programs monitoring and compliance of projects contracted directly with the District and/or the inspections and dedication of private development projects to ensure compliance with the District's Rules and Regulations and Standard Construction Specifications.
  • Supervises the work and training of resident inspectors, construction inspector seniors, construction inspectors, consultant inspection personnel and administrative support staff who have assigned responsibilities associated with the construction management of projects contracted directly with the District to ensure compliance with the District's Rules and Regulations and Standard Construction Specifications.
  • Visits construction sites to review work and resolve the most difficult inspection problems.
  • Meets with contractors, consulting engineers, land developers, public officials and the general public to resolve difficult construction problems.
  • Assists in the development and preparation of detailed Capital Improvement Program (CIRP) project schedules and costs.
  • Assists in the preparation of the annual Diversity budget supplement and the development and preparation of departmental operating budget.
