The company seeks a talented mechanical Engineering Co-op to apply coursework concepts to real-world situations, working alongside experienced professionals and gaining valuable experience in a global manufacturing and engineering company. The co-op will join the Engineering Team, interacting with Engineers, Test Technicians, and Support Staff across various engineering functions.

Requirements

  • Officially enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s Degree program in Mechanical, Software or Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Excellent analytical skill and critical thinking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to identify new and unique ideas to make connections among previously unrelated notions; to participate in brainstorming sessions.
  • Ability to deal with concepts and complexity comfortably.
  • Ability to learn when facing new problems, analyzing successes and failures for improvement.
  • Ability to deal with challenges to find solutions.
  • Ability to practice active listening and to hear and people out even if there is a different opinion.
  • Ability to practice active listening to learn new skills within the industry, company, product or technical knowledge.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to use a computer.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of duties to support vehicle testing activities (test creation, hardware review, test execution, data review, test report support).
  • Assist with tracking test metrics and test data archiving.
  • Analyze test results and provide engineering reports that meet Customer specifications.
  • Use a Windows based computer system to access information, enter measurement data, store, and retrieve files from the network, etc.
  • Assists with a variety of special projects as needed.
  • Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment.
  • All other related duties as assigned.
  • Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job.
