About The Position

Kleinfelder's Design team is looking for an engineering co-op or intern to join their team in McClure, OH. This position offers a great opportunity to learn and develop professionally in a team-oriented workplace with challenging project work. The role provides a flexible work schedule and reporting location, with limited work from home opportunities alongside office days.

Requirements

Desire to learn, or experience in, electrical engineering associated with industrial facilities and commercial buildings.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to organize priorities and multi-task effectively.
A thirst to learn and achieve continuous improvement in a team environment.
A can-do attitude and problem-solving mindset are essential.
A strong commitment for accountability to project quality and schedule.
Students must be pursuing a degree in engineering or engineering technology.
At least one prior co-op experience with an engineering firm, general contractor, or other company.

Nice To Haves

Experience using Word, Excel, Bluebeam, Outlook, and Teams to effectively communicate with internal and external clients.
Experience in AutoCAD and Revit preferred.
Adhere to organizational standards for quality and performance.
Read and interpret construction plans and specifications, applicable building codes, and design codes.

Responsibilities

Assist in reviewing/checking calculations prepared by others.
Drafting of plans and details.
Preparing meeting minutes.
Assist in reviewing and processing submittals and shop drawings.
Performing field observations and field measurements to record existing conditions.
Ability to assist in performing field observation and field measurements to record existing conditions.
Must be able to work collaboratively with other design disciplines to coordinate with the overall design.
Willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, willingness to climb, work at heights, over water, and other austere conditions for inspections and/or observations.
